Avoid Buying Washing Powder With Soap Nuts

Posted on 15 Oct 2007 at 6:11pm

I first read about Soapnuts while reading the SimpleSavings website. I was search for an altnerate solution to laundry powder that was safe for the grass as well as the kitties. Many people had tried this:

I think I paid $40 for a kilograms worth. I believe it will last me two years.

The clothes themselves aren’t any cleaner than before but it isn’t as hard on my clothes. Its easier to store and results in less trips to the shops. The product I had used previously had already left my clothes quite clean.

I have noticed some staining on items when the nuts got out of their bag, which didn’t happen previously. Its also a struggle to remember exactly how many uses are left in a particular nut.

I recommend you get a test sample and if it works for your family, buy a bulk pack.

Fun Cat Scratcher From Deals Direct

Posted on 30 Sep 2007 at 10:55pm

This cat scratcher cost $100 from Deals Direct.

Its fast become the cats favourite. I consider it to be a saving because locally I found the same style for $140. Here is Kyo trying to catch my hand.

The way its set up is great for them. I have placed in near a window, so the cats just sit on it and look outside. Its a favourite sleeping spot of Tossa. They do climb up the stairs, which surprised me.

After 6 months, I still can’t believe how well the scratcher is doing. It has become the focal point of the spare room, for the cats at least.

I’ve bought multiple scratchers and this is the sturdiest. The cats favour it. Despite paying $100, I think it was a great investment.
